The 3Towns OIR (Opportunities In Retirement) is a community run organisation for adults who are over 50. Our aim is to provide a variety of stimulating activities for retired or semi-retired people of Ardrossan, Saltcoats, Stevenston and surrounding areas.

If you are recently retired or have just moved into the area and find you have more time on your hands to pursue an existing pastime or want to develop new interests, or meet new people, then you should contact us or drop in on one of the classes, before becoming a member.

We have an Annual Subscription for members which is £5 and runs from September to August.

The 3Towns OIR programme has been developed to help maintain the physical and mental health of our members as well as encouraging social interaction. Our activities are run and organised by our members. You can see the variety of activities we have on offer on the Activities page.

A general members meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month (September – June) in the Ardrossan Civic Centre at 1.00pm.

At these meetings there is always some form of entertainment, followed by tea, coffee and the chance to meet and chat with other members. Major announcements such as trips to the theatre, concerts, dinner dances and other events are usually shared at this time.
