What is the 3Towns OiR?
We are the 3Towns Opportunities in Retirement (OiR), an organisation which provides a variety of activities for people over the age of 50.
Do you have to be a member of the OiR to take part in the activities?
Yes, becoming a member is part of being in the OiR.
Does it cost to become a member?
Yes, there is an Annual Membership fee of £5.00. Each group also has a small charge usually around £2-£3 per session.
Where can I join?
There are three ways to become an OIR member, the first and preferred method is at our annual registration event in September of each year.
If, however, you want to join part way through the year then you can go straight to your chosen activity and complete the documentation there with the Group Leader.
Finally, you can download and complete our membership form on this website and take it to the Group Leader of your chosen activity who will take your fee and issue your membership card.
Where can I find the activities?
Our groups and their activities usually take place across Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston. You can find out more about them on the Activities Page on our website.
Alternatively, you can go the activity you are interested in and ask the Group Leader for more information.
